Conversations with Keonia Forbes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keonia Forbes.

Hi Keonia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My name is Keonia but everyone calls me “ke” I was born and raised in north carolina. I started photography one day I came across a camera. I didn’t know anything or had any knowledge in photography so I decided to test the waters and go for it. As time went by, I started to progress little by little and became better at what I was doing. The hardest part for me was actually learning how to use a camera. So, I prayed and asked God to direct me and guide me, so here I am today having my own photography business here in my city. I have also traveled and had a fun experience.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth journey but with patience and not getting so discouraged, it has gotten easier day by day. Til this day, I still learn more and more about photography that I didn’t know when I first started.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m also a drummer, podcaster, I write music and learning videography, and also starting my first movie series. I’m very more known being talented and gifted and just being myself with a great personality. I’m very proud of not being someone who gives up easily. The road is not always easy but you can’t just give up. You have to step out on faith and keep going.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
By me having so many different talents, I can see my business shifting into a bigger business in the upcoming years but if it is meant, it will be.
