Community Highlights: Meet Kimberly Winborne of Kimberly Winborne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Winborne. Them and their team share their story with us below:

A graduate of Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English/ Communications & Public Relations, Kimberly Winborne is a woman who thrives on relationships, serving others as well as her community. She is a motivated entrepreneur of almost 20 years. She is the founder of Kimberly Winborne, LLC, a company that focuses on personal, professional, and financial development for individuals and business owners. Kimberly is also co-founder & President of a networking group for business owners, as well as aspiring business owners known as Visionary Networking Circle, LLC, which operates in collaboration with other businesses that support entrepreneurs. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Kimberly burst into entrepreneurship in 2002 as a Cosmetologist. She established her clientele through grassroots marketing. Four years later, she launched Metamorphosis Solutions, Inc., where she was Chief Financial Officer and co-owner of Metamorphosis: The Suite Barbershop & Salon. Getting from “behind the chair” as a stylist, and into the community was a strong desire. As a result, in 2007 Kimberly co-founded a company that could partner with Metamorphosis Solutions, Inc. in an effort to provide community outreach initiatives. That company would later become Design Evolution Creations, a division of Kimberly Winborne, LLC. Kimberly began creating events that would empower and encourage community service, as well as provide opportunities for educational resources in finance, wellness, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. Today, Kimberly Winborne, LLC provides their clients with opportunities to assess and implement their best business and financial practices by teaching marketing, goal setting, and relationship-building techniques, as well as other strategies to increase their revenue and build their businesses.

Kimberly’s experience with clients furthered her passion to impart the necessity of financial literacy in the community. This led her to pursue mastery in a program called Financial Fitness, which led to financial coaching and mentorship. She is now a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) who developed a program for her clients to gain financial success called ‘The Debt Detox’. She has now authored The Debt Detox book and notebook, available on Amazon.

Kimberly has volunteered and been contracted to speak and conduct workshops for organizations such as Dress For Success, The YMCA, Future Business Leaders of America, NC Works Center of Home Ownership and Economic Development, JAGS Prison Ministry, AGLOW International, Stand Up Speak Out of NC (SUSO-NC), and Southeast Raleigh Assembly (SERA) to name a few.

The culmination of her experience and expertise led Kimberly to develop a concept called “Coffee and Collaborations.” This workshop developed to assist entrepreneurs in their networking, relationship-building, and communication skills has also developed into a radio show and podcast, where she is the host. Coffee and Collaborations has now expanded into a media company that provides advertising and public relations opportunities for business owners, authors, speakers, and other community leaders through its podcasts, Thank God It’s Fashion Friday, The Ultimate F.A.N. (Friends Accountability Network) Podcast, a television talk show called L.O.V.E & Flow, as well as the magazine, The Collaboration Culture.

Kimberly is a community builder. She believes that we can all attract our “tribe” instead of chasing it. She believes this applies to clients as well as associations, in every area of life. She has helped to build communities for her business brands, as well as many of her clients by sharing her winning strategy. Among the communities that she has helped to build, her favorite is her ministry, The Praying SheE.O. This community pushed her deeper into her purpose, and she is now full steam ahead in the mission to help other business owners spread the message of Jesus Christ through their businesses.

Kimberly has been requested at schools, conferences, seminars, and workshops to speak on subjects such as leadership, financial literacy, public relations, vision, communication skills, public speaking, entrepreneurship, professional networking, youth entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, and personal development. Her favorite thing to share with audiences, which is also her signature speech, is that we are all Born To Win in all of those areas.
