Exploring Life & Business with Isiah Davis of Transition

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isiah Davis.

Hi Isiah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
As a young boy, I watched my mother struggle. The conditions of the economy for a single mother in the early 2000’s who was working at an assisted living care unit only netted about 500 dollars. That 500 dollars was used to support a total of four kids. My mother did this continuously for about 10 years.

At times, I can remember when I would eat sausage and rice four times in one week. My mother made poverty look unnoticeable by the way she would cook the sausage and rice differently each week. I always wanted to change our situation but I was just a kid who didn’t know anyone. Some nights when we had already eaten our sausage and rice and I would become hungry again I would go to the kitchen and drink a lot of water just to trick my brain into thinking my stomach is full. When the wintertime came, we always used the oven to save money on our heat bill. My mother had all these ways of saving money because she only made 500 dollars a week.

So, as I grew older, I became appreciative I became someone who did not want to see other kids go through the same thing I wanted to be a part of their transition in life. I wanted to be that person who helps that single Mother Transition I wanted to clothe young men and women with the proper size clothes and decent wearable shoes. Every day, I search to find a family that reminds me of some of the struggles my family endured. So, what I did was I started a Company called Transition located out of NC I knew that I could use my company to help everyone. The company engineers people into believing in themselves.

Through post research in the process of structuring our company our researcher and data analyst, Greg Alverez found that 25 % of the world population lack believing in themselves or lack self-motivation. So, at Transition, we help others see the future they can create for themselves. To do this I knew I was going to need help so I and my team took a step into the corporate world to partner with huge corporate donors this allows our team to set up the structure of a system that will help us expand our assistance across NC.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
So far, I have learned that you get out what you put in. Creating a successful business is not difficult but will take love, care, time, and even tears. I had clear discreet goals for our company coming in. I faced many obstacles like negative people, situations and at times I even had to have one on ones with myself.

I knew that my company was going to be a multi-function complex company so when things got hard I had to make sure I found a way to make things work. I lost sleep making sure I had everything in order. I spent a lot of time researching. I can remember very intense brainstorming sessions to find the best way to go about all of the people and challenges and obstacles I had to face.

Every day amongst the negativity and adversity I had to make sure I found a way to make it work because I realized early on that a lot of hard work will pay off in due time.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a multifunction nonprofit corporation. We work with all kinds of businesses, Individuals’ families, We specialize in mentoring, consulting individual and family assistance, and business start-ups.

It’s important that the people of NC know they are not alone in their transition. We are known for helping people with whatever they need through our corporate partners. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people where ever they are in life.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success means something different to each person, and it can be hard to measure. To me success is not money or fame it’s waking up every day happy with no anxiety of regrets or feeling that you don’t deserve to be happy. For me, success is doing what I love. When you do what you love for living money flows naturally.

Success is the ability to achieve your desired outcome. In our case, we want to build a business so that we can provide for ourselves and allow us to do what we want for other people. I want to be able to work with people who I enjoy and utilize my organization’s resources, programs, and skills to me that’s what success is.
