Meet Aaliyah Young

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaliyah Young.

Aaliyah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Since I was a child, I have always been inspired to become a make-up artist. The feeling of seeing others happy with their inner and outer beauty made the feeling much more rewarding. In 2020, my sister and I decided to launch Livz Lashes.

The name of our business was inspired by the birth of my child Olivia. Growing up, I was known as a beauty guru, while my sister, Kei’Sara was passionate about business. We combined our passion to create an upcoming beauty empire that will serve all of the beauty needs of many beautiful individuals.

Livz Lashes began by selling mink eyelash strips that were inspired by Olivia’s beautiful, full and long eyelashes. We dropped our first collection, “Sweet Collection” and continued to drop other collections such as “My Black is Beautiful” in dedication to my sister and partner for her 26th Birthday.

With the success of our mink eyelash collection, we became eager to expand to greater horizons. Livz Lashes began to sell designer accessories, handbags, shoes, make-up, jewelry, and beauty care. This is when Livz Lashes then became Livz Lashes and Beauty LLC

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any business Livz Lashes and Beauty experienced obstacles and challenges. This year we took a loss with the death of our stepfather who we followed in our motivation to sell more than just lashes.

I and my sister decided to donate all our profits to the cost of his funeral arrangements. This minor setback motivated us to work harder and to continue our business in the legacy of our stepfather, Tony.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a full-time mom, business owner, and part-time PCA (Personal Care Aid). I enjoy helping and caring for the elderly, this experience reminds me of my role in Livz Lashes and Beauty. I’m always looking to help others and put a smile on their face.

I’m known for health and beauty. I spend workdays grooming my client’s hair and providing them with the best care. My most proud accomplishment is having the ability to juggle being a mom, business owner, and PCA.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
The blessings and favor of God have been put upon our business. I and my sister continually pray over Livz Lashes & Beauty’s success and expansion. This favor of God has opened up greater opportunities for future business endeavors that we will accomplish this year.

With Olivia’s 2nd birthday approaching, we have decided to launch the “Livz Lashes Kidz Collection” officially launching this November.
