Community Highlights: Meet Dr. Jennifer Harris of Purses Pumps and Power Network (TM)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Jennifer Harris.

Dr. Harris, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story as an entrepreneur started at the age of 19.

I was fortunate enough to see my mom and my godparents have a “side hustle” and so I thought that is what I was supposed to be doing. My dad was also my first coach and with him being a veteran he instilled in me leadership, self-development, confidence, and goals to help me become the woman that I am today.

After graduating from college, I went into engineering and then when jobs were getting shipped overseas I decided to start my real estate business and career and that was 18 years ago.

So being a woman entrepreneur has been great but it also has been challenging. Yet the good outweighs the bad. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey as a woman entrepreneur has definitely not been a smooth road. There have been many obstacles and challenges on this journey since the age of 19. I have had to deal with losing my mother in 2007 to cancer, losing my dad in 2011 suddenly to a heart attack, and have had to work through several real estate markets’ ups and downs.

Not to mention failed relationships and heartbreaks. Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint at heart but it is a reminder that you can do and be all that you want and work hard to become.

As you know, we’re big fans of Purses Pumps and Power Network(TM). For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My organization Purses Pumps and Power Network(TM) was started as a way to help women attain 7 purses of wealth. Those purses are Business Purse, Career Purse, Real Estate Purse, Stocks Purse, Forex & Cryptocurrency Purse, Savings Purse, and lastly Investments Purse.

What sets me apart from others is that I have a 10-year plan to help 10,000 women and families reach financial freedom and leave a legacy. I do that through workshops, financial assessments, events, courses, coaching, and legacy planning.

I am most proud of brand-wise that we are a global and international brand and have worked with Kings in Africa, First ladies of countries, Presidents, and dignitaries and making a big difference all around the world not just locally.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
My most important lesson learned is to invest in myself. I have over the last 20 plus years invested well over hundreds of thousands of dollars and that no one can ever take from you what you learn and grow into.
