Meet Raquel Chanell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raquel Chanell.

Raquel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Raquel Chanell modeling began in June 2021, but personally, I have been in the entertainment industry since I was 16. I had found myself participating in music videos, and other creative projects, but I didn’t necessarily have a purpose.

I was going out to network, and I didn’t even know what I was networking. Finally, I saw the way the industry treats not only young women but individuals that are new to the industry. In entertainment, it’s easy to get taken advantage of If you don’t have any knowledge of it.

I always knew I was a leader, and I wanted to build a platform and community designed to help creative individuals reach their potential. I don’t just say that either, I really use my connections and resources to help my team strive for greatness.

It is now February 2022, and we’ve been open for 8 months. In our few months being opened, we have been internationally published multiple times in magazines such as Vigour, Edith, Top Shot Magazine, and Others. We have been in one fashion show so far, and we’ve hosted our own community events.

We are now going on tour with Sandra’s Management Agency, titled “The Official Tour.” Raquel Chanell Modeling will be traveling to different cities and states to network and create with other content creators, all over the East Coast!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to success is far from easy, but the view has been quite beautiful.

Starting a business takes thorough planning and research. Some struggles we’ve faced include dealing with our personal lives. You have to be willing to push through, even on the hard days. Thankfully, when life gets a little difficult, we have our beautiful team to help pick up where we’ve left off.

That’s why it is so important to build your foundation first. Some of our difficulties have come from building that strong foundation as well. It takes time, and sometimes we feel like we don’t have any.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Raquel Chanell Modeling is a North Carolina-based Modeling Agency. We work with all demographics and specialize in content creation, model management, and brand promotions. We have models ranging from petite to plus size, both male and female, and of all ages. Raquel Chanell Modeling opened in June of 2021.

It is now 2022, and so far, we’ve participated in our first fashion show, we’ve featured in music videos across the Carolinas, and have been published over 10 times in magazines such as Vigour, Malvie, even internationally based magazines such as Top Shot Magazine. We also specialize in cross-promotions.

Our platform is developed so that creatives can find everything they need while utilizing our services. Some of our models are musicians and use our platform to help create promotional material for themselves as an artist and models.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I have had a rough upbringing. I had to grow up at a young age, so I never really got to experience much in my childhood. One of my favorite memories ever would be at our family reunions or one of my sibling’s birthdays.

Being able to live in the moment and be around your family is a blessing not many have. A lot of our family has passed away. Now it’s just me, my siblings, my mother, and my grandparents. We are all we have.
