Check Out Danielle Clardy’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Clardy.

Hi Danielle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Let me preface that I have grown up with a camera constantly in my hand. I have always loved photography and taking and creating videos. I was a sophomore in college at East Carolina University in 2016 when blogging was becoming more popular. I had always loved to write, share stories, and build and be part of a community.

My blog, Southern Style at the time, started out as sharing style, lifestyle, travel, and family. I had designed my site all by myself and in no way am I a professional. Hop forward a year, still running Southern Style Blog, I had transferred to NC State and had a camera. Now, this was the time that YouTube was becoming more and more popular.

I started my YouTube Channel and centered it around the same content that my blog was sharing– fashion, family and friends, travels, and more. This was around the time that I started to get really creative, connecting the two platforms, and growing more to other platforms. In 2020, I created my first podcast called The Conversation Series where I get to talk to incredible people about their inspirations, journeys, careers, and more.

Today, I have a brand new blog site that has been rebranded to Danielle Clardy with brand new colors, a podcast called The Conversation Series, a YouTube Channel of 5 years, several social platforms connecting it all, and expanding to create another podcast and grow all of these channels.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ha, it has not been a smooth road at all!

There are bumps along the way almost every single day and items on the to-do list that don’t get crossed off every day. Things you thought were going to succeed didn’t, pitches sent that you a no back or no answer at all, and more. I am a one-woman show and I run a podcast, YouTube Channel, blog site, two Instagram accounts, two TikTok accounts, a Facebook page, a LinkedIn page, a Twitter account.

On top of that, I have a full-time job in Corporate America. I have learned to be practical while still shooting for the stars. One of the biggest bumps for me is that there are always things that I want to do, people I want to feature or talk to, growing my channels, etc. but it doesn’t happen overnight.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Podcast Host, Videographer, Blogger, and Content Creator.

In the Corporate World, I am a Senior Social Media Specialist. My life and career revolve around the world of social media, being creative, and thinking outside of the box. I am constantly learning and staying up to date with trends and what is popular right now to better grow my business and brand. I am most proud of how I have evolved and grown.

It is one thing that I can actually see when I look at my platforms and love to see the progress. I am also proud of the community that I have built. Community is the most important part of all of my platforms and the only way that I have the success that I do and I am incredibly grateful for that.

What makes you happy?
Oh boy! I love being with friends and family and traveling. I grew up at the beach and in a hockey arena, so you can basically find me at the beach during the warm months and at the PNC Arena watching the Carolina Hurricanes every weekend.

I am a really creative person so creating on all my platforms keeps me in this sweet happiness spot. My podcast, The Conversation Series, is one of my favorite platforms to create because I love to talk to so many incredible people and learn from them and their journeys and experiences.
