Meet Claudia Alzate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Alzate.

Hi Claudia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m from Colombia and arrive in the US in my early twenties with my daughter and had just gotten married. I didn’t speak any English, so I had to start from scratch, learning a new language and new culture.

Fifteen-year later, I started working for a bank as a business representative and found my passion for working with other people. I decided to get my realtor license in 2021 and I became a real estate agent this gave me the opportunity to help my clients, friends, and colleagues find their dream homes.

I am also a practitioner of yoga and meditation. I love supporting others and I have been practicing being a life coach, to support individuals to get what they are looking for.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I always say nothing is easy and having to learn another language at an older age was my first struggle.

There were many other struggles along the way, like finding my true passion and switching careers. But it is important to always have an enthusiastic personality and go-getter attitude, it made everything worth it.

I always remained happy and positive.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love working with others and supporting them in their dreams.

I specialize in selling residential homes and am known for doing just that. I am proud of switching careers and not letting anything hold me back. I am also extremely proud to be a Latina woman.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking?
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was leaving everything I knew in Colombia to come to the US.

Taking risks is about getting out of your comfort zone, and many times it’s for the better. I think everyone should be open to taking risks and not hold anything back
