Meet Sussa Goins of Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sussa Goins.

Hi Sussa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Sussa Goins, baker and owner of Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery. A dedicated gluten-free bakery in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a chef by trade with many hours of formal training.

Before I started Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery, I was doing International catering for two years and while that was a great project, I had the need to do something more meaningful and impactful in people’s lives.  That is when this idea came to me.
Having family members, friends, and customers with dietary restrictions made me realize the power I have in the kitchen and that’s when I started to make different recipes, creating delicious and healthy baked goods.
Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery is the project I created to help others transition from a gluten-filled diet to a gluten-free one in a way that they won’t even notice the difference and will actually love it.
Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery is the combination of my two passions in life, cooking amazing food and helping others!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Any start-up business faces challenges and being an entrepreneur is not easy.
Even when I love what I do and am really grateful for the support of our community, there are a lot of details of running a business successfully and many hats I have to wear. Finding the right people to help me along the way has not been easy, including learning how to run the business, including finances, accounting, marketing, branding, you name it is overwhelming.
Fortunately, the CPG community is amazing and we have been able to find the resources and proper training to tackle these obstacles one by one, but it is definitely an ongoing learning process.  Also, I have the support of my family and that gives me the strength to keep going.
My husband is my biggest support and cheerleader, my sister has been a key component in the success of the company, my nephew has been working with me as my community manager from the beginning and my son is my biggest inspiration! This project is definitely a team effort.
As you know, we’re big fans of Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Eleven Eleven Wellness Bakery is a 100% gluten-free bakery that helps people with gluten-free allergies or sensitivities to get fresh gluten-free baked goods made with high quality and nutrient-dense clean ingredients, without compromising taste, texture, or flavor because we work very hard on all our recipes to bring you the best quality.
Our star product is without a doubt the Artisan Paleo Bread. It is crusty on the outside and soft and moist on the inside and doesn’t need to be toasted (like most gluten-free bread does) to enjoy its delicious flavor. Of course toasting it adds another layer of yumminess!
We also offer The Fit Loaf, which is keto-friendly and in which we’ve received great reviews from customers who follow this type of diet.  Our sweet treats section currently includes muffins, cupcakes, maple sugar cookies, and dark chocolate chip cookies. However, we are always bringing new items to our line of products.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Every day more people are more conscious about their health and diet.
Eating clean, healthy nutrient-dense food has become a trend in the last few years and will continue to grow in the years to come and we are excited to be a part of this great movement in the healthy food industry.
