Hi Jade, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, it all started with the Covid shut down, I lost my job and was looking for a new self-sufficient way to make money on my own.
Considering the fact that I’ve been a plant-based vegan for the past 7 years and love everything about fashion. I thought I should go into business with what I’m passionate about.
I first created KEPT LUXE and got that trademarked and then I created Quencher Mixer selling sea moss and fresh juices. I am very much in love with both of my businesses and have high hopes for them to both takeoff.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been an easy journey with either of my businesses. One of the major problems I had was being scammed out of thousands of dollars which caused my KEPT LUXE clothing brand to be put on hold for the past 2 years.
I’m working on getting funding but I have yet to recover from that. As far as my sea moss brand Quencher Mixer, it’s an everyday struggle to stay consistent and motivated.
I can go weeks without an order but I keep pushing, keep trying to create content for social media, and seek out all my options.

I’ve always been known for being a vegan, a model, and a hustler. The number one question I get when people hear about my business Quencher Mixer is “what is sea moss?” I love answering these questions because I get to educate people with the information I’ve learned throughout the years.
Sea moss is a plant found in the ocean that absorbs its nutrient from a rock! It is taken as if you were to take a multivitamin but sea moss has much more benefits! Not to mention it’s 100% natural. It is loaded with many different minerals and vitamins such as Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper, Vitamin A, C, D & Vitamin E and so much more!
It gives you energy, boosts the immune system, has healing properties, helps with constipation, helps with brain function, and more! The reason I believe in sea moss so much is that I’ve healed myself by taking sea moss. I had a labral tear in my hip and was told I needed surgery to fix it. Of course, I didn’t want surgery as my first attempt to fix the problem so I research natural ways I could heal and came across sea moss and Dr. Sebi.
I had no idea such a thing existed and had to try it out for myself and glad I did! Sea moss has changed my life for the better! You will truly notice a difference when taking my products. I have dried sea moss which is what makes sea moss gel. Sea moss gel is another product I sell in flavors, strawberry and plain. Now my business KEPT LUXE is a luxury brand. It’s for people who have a passion for fashion like I do. Me being inspired by Rihanna and what she doing for sizes and colors, I wanted to create sizes for all as well. I may cant start right away with all sizes but eventually, I will! Overall, I’m so proud of where I’m at now compared to where I was 3 years ago, homeless and depressed.
I never thought I was capable of starting a business or modeling. But I can’t take full credit, God most defiantly helped me along the way.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Stay consistent and don’t let other people put fear in you or stop you from accomplishing your goals.
