Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Thompson.
Hi Ashley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I struggled with self-confidence. Journaling became therapeutic as well as the beginning of healing. My interest grew in dentistry, loving the service and joy dentists gave to their patients. I later realized what I loved about the dental field was the confidence patients had after they left the office. That was very important to me.
I continued developing a passion for understanding how the body works and graduated with B.S in Biology. I’ve gained a lot of work experience understanding skin function but it was my career as a cosmetic chemist that gave me insight into how ingredients can impact health.
What fueled me to become more consistent in nutrition was my overall health. I was tired of feeling stuck, and not seeing a change, and the final straw was having a miscarriage from fibroids. I needed to get my life back. Once I was able to change my mindset, being healthy became my lifestyle as well as the beginning of my journey into holistic nutrition.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I love what I do as a holistic beauty & wellness coach! Even with its challenges, this path was meant to be. I wasn’t always consistent with networking and building relationship in general so going into coaching I knew that would be an important factor I needed to face. I started to face my fears by finding my voice and changing my mindset when it was time to reach out to others.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Holistic Beauty & Wellness Coach that empowers women to trust their gut by identifying root issues so they can cultivate their true beauty fr0m within. I feel most proud when I get to see the transformation that happens in my clients’ lives. It’s more than a change in diet but a healthy lifestyle change that shifts their confidence. That’s very rewarding!
My experiences are the tools that set me apart from others. I lacked self-esteem growing up as a young girl. I had my struggles in personal health that impacted me physically and emotionally. I also gained more clarity about what to focus on as a coach from my education in Biology and Cosmetic chemist.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
What I believe is most important to my success is my faith. I wouldn’t be able to achieve anything without God leading me. Success for me is to have the mindset of a student. I always position myself as a student so I can learn from others.
