Inspiring Conversations with Nicole Limongiello of The Boots at Home Team Fathom Realty | Boots at Home

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Limongiello.

Hi Nicole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My friends call me a “Jill” of all trades. Throughout my 29 years of life, I’ve embarked on a variety of different career paths—cosmetology, EMT, and military to name a few.

One thing has remained constant in any path I’ve taken and that is my passion for helping others. I left active duty Air Force in 2020 and moved to North Carolina from my final duty station at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. While in Florida, I began the home buying process as a first-time home buyer. The process was not as I expected and I did not feel I was being properly walked through the process.

As a first-time home buyer, I feel you need a little bit of hand-holding since for most people, buying a home is a major life milestone. While sitting in my out-processing briefings, I decided to enroll in a real estate pre-licensing class. I wanted to create a better experience for first-time home buyers. I’ve been a licensed real estate agent here in North Carolina since October 2020.

In January 2022, I took a huge leap of faith and started my own real estate team—The Boots at Home Team. In starting the team, I hoped to change the negative stigma around real estate teams and create a more positive, growth-based culture for fellow real estate agents while continuing to do what I love—serving our military communities!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I think because I have spent so much time in my head planning, it has been for the most part smooth (knock on wood).

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The Boots at Home Team is a growing team of military veterans, reservists, and military spouses on a mission to serve our military communities through employment, education, and empowerment in all things real estate!

Our mission doesn’t stop there–we strive for strong involvement in our communities to give back to those we serve through service projects and charitable giving. Our team specializes in first-time home buyers and military relocations. We live by the saying “service beyond the sale”–we use a quality over quantity approach when working with our clients to allow us to provide a more hands-on, tailored experience. When you become a client of ours, you become family!

Our company is based out of Fayetteville where we serve our Fort Bragg community and surrounding areas, to include the Triangle area. Before the end of 2022, we will be expanding our service area to the Camp Lejeune community and surrounding areas. As we head into 2023, we have plans to expand our service area to the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base community and surrounding areas, where I currently serve in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My mom has been my biggest cheerleader not only throughout my business endeavors but in life in general!

My daughter has been my “why” and that has kept me pushing on when times get tough. And last but not least, my life partner, he has been supportive in everything I’ve done and puts up with my crazy ideas.
