Daily Inspiration: Meet Mi Kyung Chung

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mi Kyung Chung.

Hi Mi Kyung, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Before it’s too late… When I was 23 years old, I lost my sight. They told me it was MS. I gained my vision back within a couple of weeks, in addition to a grand sense of urgency to get things done before it’s too late…before I ended up in a wheelchair, before a premature death. So I went to graduate school, had four kids, and worked hard in my career as a Marketer in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

When the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020, I left the Pharma industry to work in hospitals as a nurse. I demonstrated my love for my country by caring for the sick during a national health emergency.

Also in 2020, we started our family construction business, US Industrial Group, providing Demolition, Tree Removal, and Painting. Working outside helped me with my Multiple Sclerosis symptoms by increasing my strength and stamina and also by improving my Vitamin D levels through sun exposure.

We’ve also adopted a couple of roads to regularly clean up through the Adopt-a-Highway Program. That’s another way we are demonstrating our love for our country.

In conclusion, before it’s too late before I get any sicker, I’m doing work that I love for the country that I love, America.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has been a difficult one, with health struggles and a heavy workload of responsibilities. This is what inspired me to write our first Motto for US Industrial Group: “Life is hard. We get the job done anyway.”

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
When I’m not working, I’m training for the FinishMS race to help raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. You can follow my training progress on https://DemoDynamite.com or on social media @demodynamite.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
If you need demolition, tree removal, or lead-based paint renovation services, you can reach us at https://usindustrialgroup.com.
