Hi Arnisha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be an entrepreneur. Fast forward a few years, I met the love of my life, and he asked me to be his wife. While planning my wedding, I fell in love with it. I was a COVID bride, so the planning process was far from easy, but I made it through, and my wedding was everything I could imagine. While planning my wedding, I took it upon myself to reach out to other planners in the area and see if they would let me get hands-on experience. So not only was I planning my wedding during COVID, but I was also going out on the weekends and working events to prepare myself for my career after I tied the knot. Immediately after my honeymoon, I created my business website and went for it! I booked my first couple within a few months and have loved the journey.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Owning a business can be very stressful and intimidating. It has been a challenging road. While I have event planning and coordination covered, that’s only part of it to be a successful business owner. There’s marketing, networking, SEO, and so much more behind the scenes. I sometimes doubt myself and my company, but I only stay down for a short time. I am constantly growing and learning to improve my business to provide my clients with the best planning team possible.

Arnisha Gaither Events is a wedding and event planning/coordination company based out of Greensboro, NC. While weddings are our go-to, we can help you with any event: baby shower, bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, etc. No matter what service you reach out to us about, we put 100% into ensuring that your vision comes to life and your day is exactly how you imagined it would be. Regarding weddings, we currently have four packages for our couples to choose from depending on their wants and needs for the event. We know that every couple isn’t the same, so no two events will be the same, and that’s what sets us apart from other planning companies. One of our primary goals is to ensure that the couples get what they want for their event. Even if It isn’t “traditional” or “normally seen.” No idea is too crazy to be brought to life. Complete planning and design is our favorite package as we work with our couples for 12 months and grow with them during that time. Here at A.G.E., our motto is “let’s grow together,” so the longer we spend with our clients, the better. It allows us time to get to know each other, making the event even more special when we feel like part of the family.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We love Raleigh venues. Although we are not Raleigh based, we do travel and love sightseeing when we do so. If we had to pick something we didn’t like about Raleigh, it would have to be the downtown traffic.
