Meet Kayleigh Bain of Breezee Digital

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayleigh Bain.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
How did I get to where I am now? Well, it has been a wild ride over the past 7 years! Let’s say getting to where I am now has not been easy. Moving south, I had yet to decide what I wanted to do, so I had a few different jobs, all of which were fun but nothing I loved. Then I got into the gym and marketing industry, where I came to own a boutique cycle and yoga studio in Myrtle Beach. With that business, as amazing as it was, I had a lot of hardships from it. I lost all my money and my pride. I knew I couldn’t mentally come out of this dark place staying there, so I decided to leave. I moved back in with my parents, worked at a winery for 6 months, saved every penny I had, and moved to Raleigh. I have worked with animals for the last two years and fell in love with marketing and dogs even more! I now realize my calling is working with local businesses and a dog rescue, where I currently volunteer with Perfectly Imperfect Pups and work with Local Businesses! I now own a Breezee Digital business where I offer Digital Marketing Servies! In my free time, I love to paint, go to coffee shops and breweries, go to local sporting events, travel, and hang out with my dog!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not! It has been a tough road to get here. I have gone through bankruptcy when selling my old business, losing people close to me, losing all my money, and finally just moved and started a new life in a different state. My struggles mainly are from being a pushover and letting people walk all over me. That got me nowhere except farther in the ground, unable to move. I became happier when I finally stood up for myself and my worth. Watching my business take off the land has been the most rewarding part!

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your business.
Breezee Digital is about helping those who struggle with something easy to me but difficult for them and taking their business to the next level. I specialize in helping small businesses and real estate agents.

What sets me apart from any other agency or firm is that I do a lot of shout-outs, supporting small businesses and trying to give free marketing where I can in doing these shout-outs. I do a Wake-Up Wednesday Coffee Sponsor where someone pays me $5 for a coffee. I then go to a local coffee shop and give a shout-out to the person and their business, but then provide the coffee shop a shout-out too! In the long run, those people will shout me out or give me great word-of-mouth reviews. Good karma comes back, and I am doing my part and helping those who have helped me so much.

I am also working on a blog showing how leaders or pillars in our community get out of their ruts. They show they are ordinary people who face struggles but have routines and daily regimens to keep pushing along. In doing this, I hope to inspire people or the younger generation to keep going.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
I have so many cheerleaders, mentors, friends, and supporters.

  1. First- My Parents & Fam. My mom is my biggest advocate, and I love her! My mom for being my number 1 supporter, helping pick me up after losing my job, and telling me I have something people want. She helped me get my first official client (Shout-out Maureen & Sheree for being the most amazing humans and cheerleaders!) My dad for keeping things funny and questioning everything a million times because he wants to understand what I am doing. And my Aunt Karen also told me to go for it and be my rock.
  2. Second- Cartoon Jordan. She and I had worked events together when she told me I should follow my passion for this and that she would be my first client because she was desperate for help. She told me to keep going because working for yourself is the biggest reward.
  3. Third- My cousins, Kate and Shane. Shane and I were waiting for Kate one day when we talked about what I wanted to do, and I kept coming up with excuses for why it wouldn’t work. I remember him saying, “Well, it sounds like you don’t want it enough, then.” A switch flipped in me, and I wanted to run right there. Katelyn has kept me grounded through the entire thing, asking me, “Well, have you done X, Y, Z yet?” She keeps everything real and keeps me focused when I have a million crazy ideas. I know something is worth pursuing when she tells me, “I can see that working. Just got to keep your focus on it, but I see it working.”
  4. Fourth and Final- my friends from everywhere and their support, from my best friends from college to old coaches in Myrtle Beach, to old coworkers, to my newest besties and business people, have encouraged me every step of the way. I couldn’t do it without ANY of these people pushing me.
