Today we’d like to introduce you to Katelyn Osborne.

Hi Katelyn; please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Centerpiece Marketing was founded in August 2019. In some ways, it still feels like yesterday. I had performed 9-5 jobs in the Communications and Digital Marketing field, and after wearing several hats at these entry-level positions, I was ready for something more. I completed my Master’s from East Carolina University in May of 2019 also. With the relief of completing that education and taking some time to figure out the next move, I decided to open my marketing agency. And now here I am. Centerpiece Marketing has hit its three-year milestone, and I couldn’t be happier (or prouder). We market for businesses all around the US and Canada, and it is a joy to work with each client. Each project takes on a life of its own, which is fun.

You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Smooth is a good way of describing becoming and maintaining a self-employed lifestyle. I love being in control and being the go-to expert in things marketing. I am accountable to my clients and stay very client focused. Very detail-oriented also. Deadlines have to be met; communication has to be clear. This role allows me to form business relationships near and far. Travel is lovely.

As you know, we’re big fans of Centerpiece Marketing. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
Centerpiece Marketing gives a very boutique feel. Creative minds think outside the box and support ideas others might consider too far out or uncomfortable. We get the shots needed to create conversations. We tack on messages that resonate with the audience and lead to action. We do a lot of website development, SEO, social media management, and print materials; you name it! The first step with a prospect is the complimentary consultation. We review the current marketing plan, what is and is not currently working, the budget, and where the money would be allocated for the best results. We focus on the message precisely and who is the target audience. We want to be front and center. From the consultation, the agency puts together a proposal outlining our action plan, and we go from there.

What matters most to you? Why?
