Daily Inspiration: Meet Megan Oliveri

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Oliveri.

Hi Megan, we’d love for you to introduce yourself.
I have always loved hair and makeup! When it came time to decide what I wanted to do after high school, I found an accredited makeup school in NYC and knew that that was my path. I decided to start my small business working with brides all over the Carolinas, and I haven’t looked back since! I worked in the tri-state area for a few years before moving to NC in 2017.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No one who runs a small business can say it has been a smooth road! There have been many ups and downs over the years. From financial stress, handling growing too fast for my good, and feeling like I need a break. But at the end of the day, I have become a better person and business owner on the other side.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist who specializes in bridal work! As an artist, I am most known for my soft glam looks that help meld together a natural look while feeling like it’s your special day.

What was you like growing up?
I was timid when I was young! I only came out of my shell in my late teens when I got to makeup school. I have always loved art, though. It was my solace in a lot of ways. I still have many sketchbooks of my artwork from the years!
