Meet Erika Johnson

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the main the struggles I’ve experienced along the way is adjusting to the new normal once I had to go back to work full-time. I had extra time off due to maternity leave. Overall, I would say the road has been fairly smooth because of the support from my home and family along with the amazing customers I now have as an extended family. Since each piece I create is personal, I get to know my customers and/or their family members pretty well.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in creating custom vinyl items for all occasions, particularly: name plaques (for office or home display), drinkware (wine glasses, tumblers), and apparel. I’m most proud of being able to make memorable items customers love and will cherish for years to come. These items celebrate special occasions from weddings, graduations, birthdays, promotions… there really is no limit. I’m looking forward to start offering party favor packages as part of my business going into 2023. My attention to detail and high-quality work sets me apart from others. I like to tell people I can give you the recipe, but the sauce won’t taste the same. There is nothing quite like an EJ’s Expressions creation.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m a lawyer (prosecutor) by day and crafter by night. Somewhere in between those my round-the-clock job is being a wife and mom of 3. I absolutely love what I do in ALL of my jobs and titles.
