Hi Tina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Our words can change our lives; little did I know I was manifesting my dreams! I am Tina Vora, and I was born in India. My father was in Indian Navy, and my mother was a housewife. I am the oldest of the 3 sisters. I had a very happy childhood. My parents were my best friends and biggest support, always encouraging me to pursue my dreams and passion. Both my parents have passed away in the last 10 years. Not a single day goes by when I don’t think of them. After their passing, some force keeps pushing me to pursue my dreams. It could be my deceased parents.
During my high school summer vacation, I would pick up some odd jobs for fun and extra allowance. One of the jobs I had picked was to make hand-stitched embroidery bags, and it was exciting and rewarding to see a product come to life. I received a lot of admiration for my work from the shop owner, friends, and family, and it encouraged me to create more and more bags with different styles, colors, and designs. I was so motivated and remembered telling my parents, “One day, I will have a fashion brand of my own.” My lifelong dream of owning a fashion brand became a reality from this inspiration in 2022! Little did I know that I was manifesting what I wanted in life.
An IT management consultant by profession, I had the opportunity to work for many reputed investment banking firms across the USA. At heart, design and fashion never left my side, inspiring me to design commercial and residential spaces, fashion, and my latest venture and my heart and soul; my luxury Salon & Spa, Tina Vora Salon & Spa. Art, fashion, architecture, and various design elements are my inspirations. I currently live in North Carolina with my husband and son. When not designing and managing my businesses, I love to travel and spend time with friends and family.
Would it have been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was quite a journey and a learning process. Below are some of the challenges we faced when opening the business. Luxury handbags often require high-quality materials, skilled craftsmanship, and advanced technologies, including a luxury-looking website presence, which can be expensive. Establishing brand recognition and building a reputation for producing high-quality luxury handbags can be difficult, especially in a crowded market. Sourcing the right materials, manufacturing, and logistics of getting the handbags from the suppliers to customers can be a big challenge. There is a lot of competition in the luxury handbag industry, and it cannot be easy to differentiate products and gain market share. A number of legal and regulatory requirements must be met to operate a business in the luxury goods industry. Attracting and retaining top talent, Finding skilled artisans with experience in luxury handbags was a challenge. Effectively marketing and advertising luxury handbags to the right audience can take time, as the target market is often niche and selective. Luxury handbag customers have high expectations, and it is important to consistently meet and exceed those expectations to maintain a positive reputation. The luxury goods industry is constantly evolving, and it is important to stay up-to-date with the latest trends to remain relevant.

As a native of Boston and a fashion enthusiast, I’ve always admired the effortlessly fashionable allure of Bostonians. As a fashion lover with a creative mind, I always think about how to make things look more exciting and beautiful. My brain never stops thinking of colors, contrasts, designs, style, and fashion. I sometimes daydream and imagine the possibilities and wonders of the fashion world. I love to collect chic bags, clothes, and accessories. My passion and love for fashion inspired me to create the Tina Vora Luxury Handbags collection.
My vision was to create a collection of handbags that stood the test of time and quality. I wanted to design sophisticated, practical, versatile, yet timeless bags that were stylish and functional and, most importantly, had a classic feminine appeal. Our designs are unique, classic, and extremely high quality. To bring my ideas and the collection to life, finding skilled artisans was essential, which led to partnering with world-class craftsmen in Italy who handcrafted these beautiful bags with attention to the smallest details and the highest quality of workmanship combining these elements; my Luxury Handbags collection were born.
I was always drawn to the style and have loved experimenting with various design ideas, including my wardrobe. Receiving admiration from people around me inspired me to start my brand; I would often get asked about my bags, accessories, and outfits. This admiration and acknowledgment motivated me to bring my ideas to life by creating my brand. It opened the doors to many opportunities of exploring the world of fashion and luxury goods, and being my boss has empowered me to create opportunities for other women. Tina Vora focuses on pursuing excellence and empowerment of the modern-day woman; by creating high-quality, fashionable products with excellent craftsmanship and functionality without compromising style.
Networking and finding a mentor can positively impact one’s life and career. Any advice?
- Look for individuals in your industry or field with the skills and experience you are looking for. Reach out to them and ask if they would be willing to meet with you or offer guidance.
- Attend industry events, Networking events, conferences, and trade shows can be great opportunities to meet potential mentors and other professionals in your field.
- Join industry groups; professional organizations or groups related to your industry can also be a great way to meet potential mentors and other professionals.
- Leveraging social media Platforms like LinkedIn can be useful for networking and finding potential mentors. You can also join industry-specific groups on these platforms to connect with other professionals.
- Look for mentorship programs. Some organizations and companies offer mentorship programs that can help connect you with experienced professionals.
- Be willing to give back. Be open to mentoring others, as this can help build relationships and a sense of community within your industry.
- Be consistent and persistent. Building relationships takes time and effort, so be consistent and persistent in your networking efforts.
