Exploring Life & Business with Josh Bailey of Baileys Homegrown Designs LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Bailey.

Hi Josh, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’ve worked in a corporate setting for many years and always felt that something was missing, that I was just a robot. In 2021 during my morning drives to work, god started talking to me and putting the idea in my head about woodworking. Later that year, I hurt my foot and was out of work, which gave me the time to hone my skills. Recently I quit my full-time job and focused on our business full-time. I’m freer for family time and enjoy life. We treat people right and let god lead us on our journey here.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles have been the most enjoyable parts at the same time. Needing to learn new techniques to finish a job is enjoyable for us. I always want to keep learning, no matter how small of a thing it is.

We’ve been impressed with Baileys Homegrown Designs LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a homegrown furniture/ decor company. Currently, we’re doing a lot of raised garden beds, but at the same time, we’re building cabinets, etc. What sets us apart is that we enjoy doing a wide array of projects; we’ve even done a “playground” for goats. My proudest moment is when people tell me how beautiful our work is.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That we only started woodworking in 2021. Our passion for it is growing every day. I rely heavily on my faith in God for daily direction.
