Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Staten.
Hi Amber, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved to decorate, craft, and paint. It’s always been a hobby, and in 2021, I decided to create opportunities with my gift. After the pandemic and realizing how much people were affected, I wanted to bring light and positivity to others. I created Staten Style Design. It’s so important to create positive and uplifting environments because your space affects your mental health. In a world full of negativity and chaos, mental heath is a priority. We all need spaces to help us relax, unplug, and rejuvenate. Spaces that bring us joy and happiness. That is the goal of Staten Style Design. To help create happy, positive, and uplifting spaces. To provide a space that you love that brings you joy and peace. A space that helps you relax and recharge. A space that will support and promote a healthy mental state. To restore sentimental items that you can use in your everyday life. To transform items you never use and make them something new to love and use again.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
God has blessed me with many great opportunities and have lead clients my way for services. It has not been a smooth road, but it has been very rewarding. I started this business with no business background, so it’s been a journey learning. It’s also been hard promoting my business. Social Media is an awesome outlet to use to promote and put your business out there for everyone to see. Unfortunately, I am not a huge social media user, so it’s taken an effort to promote and advertise. I also am a mother of two and work full-time. My time is very stretched, and balancing parenthood, full-time employment, and working toward my dream has been a challenge.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in revamping old furniture pieces. I repaint older pieces making them brand new. I also personal shop and decorate homes and offices. I craft and make custom signs, wreaths, and centerpieces. I am most proud of my creativeness. Working with Staten Style Design, you know that you are getting a custom service. I paint and create my pieces from scratch.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned is to keep going. Never stop reaching for your dreams. Times get hard, but there is always a blessing on the other side. If you keep pushing, you will reach your dream. Be confident in your gift and go full throttle.
