Conversations with Marianeth Crockett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marianeth Crockett. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Born from the maker’s space, Marianeth, the face behind STUDIO MAHRI and the Founder of CURO, started her childhood handcrafting and later grew her skill in the digital art realm. A multidisciplinary creative and lover of the creative journey, her business ventures fuse the beauty of both worlds. She specializes in small businesses, makers, and organizations. As a creative problem solver, she understands their unique challenges and bridges the gap from concept to creation.

Marianeth has a diverse background, from arts to logistic support in a C-130 aircraft while serving in the US Navy. She is passionate about delivering meaningful experiences, product/brand development, and creatively solving problems through a human-centered approach.

She offers a global perspective, having been born in the Philippines and experiencing 26 countries. She is an empathetic leader who has overcome unique challenges and adversity herself. Marianeth is integrity-driven and thrives best in diverse environments. She is not only equipped with vast life experience but is also a first-generation college graduate. Her love for business and innovation led her to San Francisco to complete an MBA in Design Strategy.

Marianeth is now a Raleigh native who has completed start-up incubators such as Bunker Labs and LAUNCHCary. She is excited to scale and eventually give others opportunities by micro-investing in other small businesses.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, there has been much adversity in my story. I am a survivor of many things, loss, personal traumas, sexual harassment, and military injuries to name a few. But my faith in God and resiliency have always got me through. I believe no matter where you come from isn’t where you are going. You don’t have to be the story that has happened to you, but you can rewrite a more beautiful and powerful one. And if living through that helps one person along the way, then so be it. I have made a difference.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am known for my cultivating, curating, and elevating! I love to cultivate meaningful relationships with others, curate beautiful goods and experiences, and elevating almost everything. Life is beautiful, why not add a little pizazz!

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’d love to collaborate with other creatives or like-minded people in the entrepreneur space. I love connecting on LinkedIn and in person!
