Meet Ms. Lèa of Crème de la Crème Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ms. Lèa.

Ms. Lèa

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2008, I began planning small gatherings as a hobby which eventually earned me the nickname “secretary Lèa” among close friends and family. Despite working as a medical biller and coder, my passion for event planning grew with time. The COVID pandemic made me question my career choice, and I made the decision to pursue my passion full-time. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to my new career path.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely not been easy in 2012 my first marriage ended. So, between relocating my business and navigating through the journey of healing it was not a walk in the park. Despite that, I still kept on working on my dreams, and eventually, my support system grew and encouraged me to keep going as an event planner. Each challenge that I have faced in life has contributed to shaping the person I have become today and I’m grateful for that.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am the owner of an event planning business that specializes in creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. My attention to detail and ability to bring my client’s visions to life sets me apart from others in the industry. I take a personalized approach to event planning, taking the time to get to know each client and understand their unique needs and preferences. My services range from venue selection and event design to vendor management and on-site coordination. I’m proud of my reputation for delivering beautiful events that prioritize even the smallest details and make them the center of attention. My ultimate goal is to make every event we plan an experience that our clients will cherish for years to come.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’ve really enjoyed reading Peace from broken pieces by Iyanla Vanzant. It’s such an inspiring story, and I highly recommend it. During the week, I like to listen to a few podcasts for entertainment. Here’s the thing with Kevonstage and Angel is always a great listen, as well as Fridays with Tab and Chance. And when I’m really in the mood for laughter mixed with thought-provoking topics, J.ill the podcast by Jill Scott, never fails to deliver. It’s nice to have something non-work related to enjoy during my downtime. Workwise I have three shows that are my go-tos even though they’re off air now: David Tutera’s Celebrations, Four Weddings, and Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.
