Rising Stars: Meet Chandler Palmer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandler Palmer.

Chandler Palmer

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been a big dreamer. But in my young age and even young adulthood, I always labeled myself as “lazy.” I grew up middle class and would say I had a pretty great upbringing – my parents divorced when I was 2, my dad came out as gay, and therefore, my mom was a single mom until I was 11. Although the home was broken, it never felt that way. And although I wanted to blame my lack of action on my situation, I was always the only thing in my way. I went through a good chunk of life with zero motivation and zero determination, kind of just winging it day by day. Through much trial and mostly error, I got sick of my own crap. I got sick of letting myself down and feeling disappointed in my lack of results. You see, my entire life, I have always been told, “You have so much potential,” but I never realized that having potential doesn’t mean “it just happens for you.” I had to learn that having potential really meant “if you believe in yourself and work hard enough, you’ll have whatever you want out of life.”

During the first round of quarantine, my world shook (along with the rest of the population). I had my first panic attack. Because for the first time in my life, I had to sit with myself. I had to sit in my own thoughts and stare at a reflection in the mirror just to see someone that with so much potential, still wasn’t where she wanted to be. I have spent the last 6 years working full-time corporate with one of the world’s most innovative medical device companies and learning to understand business, relationships, and revenue on a large scale while at the same time, learning more about myself and sharing that journey with the world of social media.

Through my transformation, I decided to take my experiences and do even more to help more people. I began to create, organize and simplify my own framework for what I had discovered solved my own problems. I quickly branded myself online as a “women’s healthy lifestyle” guru. I spent the last few years showing up in that space, creating fitness programs, running mindset masterclasses, creating courses on very niched lifestyle hacks, etc. I truly became addicted to helping women transform and earn positive results that I got to be part of. In a short 7 months span, I have already brought in hundreds of female students and generated thousands in revenue.

The fulfillment I found in creating these courses has blown my mind, not to mention how rewarding it feels to be paid for doing something I love. And now, I am on a mission to again share the simplified method that I’ve created to help others do the same with their own life experiences and turn impact into income.

The little girl sitting on the couch, wondering what the point was in getting up, would be so proud of the woman she has fought to become today. I realize now that everything I THOUGHT was holding me back was actually preparing me. I am thankful for it all; the falling short of my potential, the panic attack, the disappointment… as it has been the catalyst to rising to the occasion. And I truly feel like I am just getting started.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
– Once I was able to overcome my biggest hurdle of labeling myself as “lazy” and remaining inactive, I became the complete opposite and would now consider myself a busybody when it comes to determination. – The downside to that switch is I went from doing nothing to chasing every goal there is. With that comes a lack of focus. I don’t regret trying different things to get to the end goal of making impact and turning it into income… but there comes a time when focus is required. It’s required for developing trust within your community as well as refining your work. I would say that my current venture is building discipline to remain focused on what I currently offer.

– During my quarantine breakdown and breakthrough, I was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder. I suffer from intrusive thoughts and obsessive behaviors. I have learned that it’s all a trauma response to feeling lack of control. A major obstacle for me is relinquishing control and simply holding integrity as the utmost priority. Trying to control the process and outcome is not only a drawback, but it’s exhausting.

– A challenge for me, especially in the eye of the public, is being vulnerable. As a personal safety net, I tend to rely on wanting to share information versus wanting to share the raw and real. I haven’t found the answer as to why this is tough for me because at the core of who I am, I believe sharing myself; the good – the bad – the ugly, is critical to helping others find transformation.

– Lastly, as with most entrepreneurs, I face the challenge of managing time and energy between full-time job, passion, and overall life. I like to say that my OCD serves me in this obstacle because I am always fine-tuning my time management skills… but I have also learned that this challenge may never feel completely relieved, and I am at peace with that.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an online course creator. I aim to help women that feel burnt out, overworked, and lost find the story that lives inside them to make an impact and turn it into income.

I have created several courses within the women’s wellness space, which has brought in hundreds of students and thousands in revenue. Due to those courses succeeding, I have now packaged up my wins and shortcomings to create my signature course – ONLINE COURSE CREATOR. This is a 90-day blueprint to creating an impactful & profitable online course.

I am really proud of the content that I provide for my students because I work hard to provide transformation and not information overload. Although I feel I have a lot to share, I aim to keep the education SIMPLE to consume. My goal is to provide an experience that leaves my students feeling ready to run through a brick wall. Having said that, every digital product that I create has mindset teachings included. Instilling belief is priority; taking action comes next.

At the end of the day, my mission is to live my life as an example of what is possible. I am going to continue to refine my work in order to provide life-changing results for my students.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
THREE SIMPLE PIECES OF ADVICE:

1. Allow yourself space to take risks and pivot, even if it feels hella uncomfortable. Combined with – allow yourself to be a beginner and remind yourself that everyone (even Taylor Swift) started at zero.

2. Be a “go-getter-girl.” In other words, be resourceful… don’t wait until you feel inspired – GO GET INSPIRED. Whether that means hiring a coach, strengthening your development through reading or podcasts, and take action through babysteps.

3. Get your mind right. Having mental strength is not optional. Do what needs to be done to believe in yourself enough to keep going. Confidence will come after courage; what are you doing DAILY to get you there?
