Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Jernigan.

Sarah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin? 
After rediscovering my love for reading through an enthralling book series, I became determined to find apparel and accessories that embodied the essence of its captivating characters. After a lengthy search, I couldn’t find any store offering the products I envisioned. So, I decided to start my creative journey and began crafting my own line of products in June 2022. Since then, my passion has evolved from making bracelets to designing necklaces, and now I am fully focused on creating statement earrings. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With a medical background and no prior crafting, marketing, or business experience, stepping into entrepreneurship as a first-time business owner was daunting. Fortunately, I found a wealth of online resources to learn how to make clay earrings. This led me to discover more online tools for improving my photography skills and creating my own website. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I design book-inspired accessories, focusing on earrings. Actively engaged in the indie author and creator community, I collaborate with authors for custom earring designs that showcase their books. 

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
In my creative journey, I’ve been fortunate to have a supportive network. My husband played a vital role in creating clay cutters and building my website. My found family has been a constant source of inspiration, modeling my earrings, sharing my content, and offering unwavering encouragement throughout it all.
