Today we’d like to introduce you to Dyamund C.

Hi Dyamund, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
Growing up, I was not an only child but was raised as an only child. My granny had a village to help raise me, I can attest. I would say I was given the best of MULTIPLE words growing up. I believe that is a part of the reason I’m so open-minded & diverse. I went through life knowing I was something BIGGER than what I was being given. After graduating college (A&T Alumna 2016), I stayed in the Greensboro area for some years where things then started to feel “uncomfortable”. Throughout the years, I continued to Nanny; I went to school for Esthetics (graduated in 2021) specializing in waxing & facials. Then was uprooted by God & the Universe (in my opinion). Moved backed to Durham, where I was introduced to modeling. I love everything I do. I’ve been modeling for about three years now. Through modeling, I met a local/Indie artist by the name of RastaaSlimeyy. I am currently his brand manager. Fun times, which also has been a growing tool with my own brand, MULTI.FAIRY. I do so much because I enjoy helping others while helping myself. I got to where I am from where I was because I hit rock bottom, and my world became dark. I opened up a door for healing, and I haven’t looked back since. This past week, I found out I cheated Colon Cancer, so I’m definitely nowhere near done on my journey we call life. Learning to love myself through it all. I love it here. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nowhere near “smooth”. 

Health issues since middle school 

Family ties & drama 

Distorted friendships 

Failed relationships 

Without a personal space to call my own 

Betrayal 

The good, the bad & the ugly.

I do EVERYTHING: 

I am a Nanny, 

I am a Model, 

An Esthetician, loading (test#2 loading) 

Waxes & Facial services 

I do ambassadorship with other brands. 

What sets me aside from others is the fact that I’m here for others not just for myself.🤝🏾🧚🏾‍♀️ 

The most proud thing about my brand would have to be it was created with love through dark times, and even diamonds need pressure to form. 

Creating something out of nothing. 

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a “do as I was told” child growing up. I didn’t talk back to adults at all. 

Personality-wise, I’ve always been me & that is one thing I take pride in. 

My interest growing up was food and TV. 

I was an “in the house” girl growing up. Pretty “sheltered” I’ll say. 

I ran track while in middle & high school, definitely a love for that sport.
