Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Swart.
Hi Tina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I am a Registered Nurse and have been crafting and making DIY projects all my life. I started with needle arts, such as embroidery, crochet, and macrame as a child and teen. I love making home decor projects, paper crafts, and art journaling. I wanted to offer a creative outlet to people who are interested in arts and crafts or just anyone looking for a fun evening with their loved ones.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We’ve faced our fair share of challenges in the process of opening Pinspiration Raleigh. As with all new businesses, it required more time and resources to get started than anticipated. We had hoped to open for business earlier this year, but it’s actually still under construction. Despite this, we are very excited to finally open this winter!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Pinspiration is a space where creativity and community can come together. We offer a wide variety of trending projects, crafts, and parties that allow customers of any skill level to bring out their inner artist. People of all ages can visit Pinspiration for birthday parties, team building, date nights, and events.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
We define success as providing a fun and friendly place where the people of Raleigh can gather and explore their creative sides. Success to us means being able to share what we’re passionate about while creating a positive atmosphere for customers to learn about art.
