Today we’d like to introduce you to Michel’le Washington.
Hi Michel’le, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am an experienced model, actress, mua, community advocate, and serial entrepreneur. I have appeared as an extra in “Blackbear,” Rebel, and Shots Fired. Currently working on a web series “My name is Deception ” and a play titled Make me a winner. I have appeared in over 50 plus fashion shows, including New York Fashion Week Charlotte Fashion Week, and she helped train over 200 models at York County Fashion Week. In the last few years, I have partnered with KJLE, and we created Fashions on the Lake and Passerelle Fashion Week. Even with all that, I still make time to train other aspiring models, model coach for TroupeNVS, be a voice in the community, help host a radio show as well as running several businesses. I am a cancer survivor. I am also on the board of directors with King Jay Li’on Entertainment. I have won the Queen City Model of the Year and have also competed in the Miss. Fashion Global, in which I won 2nd in the 40 and over division. I have been published over 100 times throughout my career. I have photos posted on several websites, a few of which are https://michelleamodel.wixsite.com/fashionmodel or https://www.facebook.com/michellea.themodel/ and www instagram.com/model_michellea1.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Modeling is not easy. The constructive criticism can make either make you or break down one’s self-esteem. You urge to have a strong backbone.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a published author as well as an award-winning model. I specialize in model coaching but still take the time to hop in front of a camera as well as runway shows. I am most proud of being Model Muva to many talented and unique individuals through North and South Carolina. Outside of modeling, I am the co-owner of Jap Me Clean cleaning company based out of Gastonia, a minister at Church Untraditional, a mother, and a grandmother… What sets me aside from others? Only others can answer that, but what I will say is I’m never too old to learn. I still practice, and I take what I do seriously…
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’m super sensitive…
