Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Morón.
Hi Adriana, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I am originally from Marurin, Venezuela. I moved to the US when I was 17 years old. I went to college here and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Texas at Tyler. Before graduating from college, I was already working in the Oil and Gas Industry. There, I was in charge of analyzing data for risk calculations and assessments on refinery equipment, pipes, storage tanks, and other assets. During my time there, I realized that I wanted to do more than analyze data; I wanted to be part of the leadership team. The downside was that I did not really know how to communicate effectively. So, I decided to gain that skill and took a switch in my career and went to work with a sales team at Fortune 500 companies. There, I learned to relate with people, bring solutions to business problems, negotiate, and create relationships that last and build trust. On top of that, I also realized that my data analytics skills were applicable to sales, and I was able to understand the positive impact that understanding data and people can have on growing a business. So, after doing that for a few years, I decided it was time to move those skills to the digital world and help small and mid-size businesses who want to have a steady and growing source of income. As a business owner, I know that there are times when business is great and others when business may not be so good. So, my goal is to help businesses maintain a steady flow of cash by creating a strong digital foundation that is led by data and a customer-centric strategy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not; it has not been a smooth road.
When I decided to switch from the Oil and Gas industry to sales, I took a significant pay cut. I went from receiving a substantial paycheck every week to a 100% commission salary in an industry I knew nothing about. This was a huge challenge.
Opening my office in Hollywood, Florida, also brought personal challenges. My relationships were strained, nearly at a breaking point. I faced a tough decision: to lose either my personal life or my career. Many people I spoke with at that time didn’t have strong relationships with their spouse, kids, or family members; they were all focused on their businesses. The common advice I received was to “keep going.” But deep down, I knew that wouldn’t make me happy. So, my husband and I decided to take a step back. We sold everything we had and traveled for three months across the US in our jeep, camping. Financially, it was a risky move; we had little income left, just our online income source, no house, and no business at that point. But we needed to see if our marriage would work. We both committed to that experience. Afterward, building a business was challenging, but we emerged stronger than before.
Now, as I grow Right Hand Here!, I face daily challenges about where to focus my energy for growth and what new skills I need to learn. Running a business is a constantly changing and problem-solving journey, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk is an interesting thing. I like to think that I have taken big risks in my life that have led to great returns, but I have also taken risks that put me in very uncomfortable situations. In either case, what I’ve realized is that taking a risk on impulse usually backfires. However, when I take the time to connect with myself and be okay with all possible outcomes of the risk, then the risk no longer feels like a risk. It becomes a consequence I can live with and move on from. When I get myself into that mindset, I remove the risk factor from the equation and replace it with trust that whatever happens, I will be fine. This approach has been a game changer for me in how I view risk.
