Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Hart.
Jasmine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From the time I can remember, I have always been drawn toward fashion and fashion accessories. As a young girl, I remember being enthralled with my mother’s jewelry armoire and the joy and excitement of looking through and playing in all of her jewelry pieces. It was also interesting to hear the stories and memories behind these items. Art and expression have always been a passion of mine, but the 2019 Covid shutdown really allowed me the time to explore my passion and hobbies deeper. It was during this time that I started creating jewelry of my own. I started making jewelry purely for my own enjoyment. During my jewelry-making journey, I would share my pieces on my Facebook and Instagram. To my surprise, people not only found my handiwork beautiful, but they also wanted to purchase them or sought me out to create pieces for them. 5 years later, I’m still going strong and working on the launch of a brand that will bring insightful and meaningful wearable art to the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I feel that the path of any creative or entrepreneur is never smooth, but through those obstacles, our perspective and creativity have an opportunity to develop and grow. One of my biggest challenges along this road has been self-doubt and believing in the gifts and talents I possess, as well as believing that the vision that I have is an attainable reality. My faith in God and the plan He has for my life has proved to be a powerful tool in guiding me and encouraging me to keep going.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a part-time jewelry artist. I spend my time working on my craft and learning new skills as a jewelry maker. I specialize in handcrafted jewelry. I love working with wire and semi-precious stones. I am proud of each and every piece I create because it comes from a place of joy, authenticity, truth, and love. My jewelry represents more than a pretty adornment. It’s a life perspective and spiritual stance.
