Hidden Gems: Meet Andrea Campoli of Rocket Entertainment & Music Booking

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Campoli.

Hi Andrea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today. 
Rocket Music Booking was born after years of working in the service industry and handling the events and entertainment for the establishments I worked for. I have been working as a bartender, server, event manager in the restaurant/bar world for 32 years, I had lifelong experience with music and entertainment. I started performing on stage and television as a child. The combination of the two worlds made me a perfect candidate for placing talent in these settings, as I know what both are looking for. Rocket Music Booking started booking entertainment for many local bars, restaurants, and events in 2015 and continues to grow each year. We survived the global pandemic and have experienced the best years of growth in 2022 and 2023. Rocket Music Booking goes the extra mile to provide both the music venues and the performers a great working experience. I put in the research before choosing musicians and select the ones suited for the venues. I work closely with Brian Jones of Southern Roots Entertainment to watch performers before booking them. We have teamed up to provide several Rocket Music Booking open mics to find the best talent in the area. Additionally, I also co-own Roshambo Market with Amy Dren which is a traveling vendor market featuring live music we started in 2016. We have successfully organized numerous vendor markets in Raleigh and beyond. In April, we are embarking on a new venture and twist on our typical vendor markets. Roshambo Market will be hosting a series of farmers markets every Sunday through the spring, summer, and fall at one of Rocket Music Booking’s favorite booking venues ZincHouse Winery and Brewery. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The global pandemic was definitely a challenge. We were completely shut down and like everyone we weren’t sure the world would ever recover. The future of live music in a social setting when the world was restricted from any social experiences was a crazy concept.

My goal for Rocket Music Booking’s future is for it to continue to help local musicians grow and to help the music scene in the triangle area build. We have a great local music community, and it just keeps getting better. 

What matters most to you? Why?
Music is a passion of mine, and I am so thrilled to have made a career involving something I love so much. The overall thing that is most important to me is that I can help provide great, impactful life experiences for people. The local talent in 

the Raleigh area is incredible, and the musicians strive to not only give the best-polished performances but to also to make memorable moments for their audiences. These moments take performers and the venues hosting them to the next level.
