Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian & Glory Post.
Hi Brian & Glory, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Glory is from the Dominican Republic and I am a North Carolinian. Glory and I met in the Dominican Republic while I was there as a teacher in a local school. A couple of years later we got married and had weddings in both countries. We have a shared passion in our faith but we realized how much struggle there is in learning the rhythm of celebration and personal resource management. Proverbial wisdom has not always won out in our relationship, but we both believe it should because it is a foundational truth. Taking those two concepts [celebration & resource management] we decided to start a family company. We love working together even when we don’t like it because we know it reveals the work we need in our own lives and the vast number of people and couples trying to find joy in their lives. In spring 2021 we decided to launch The Arboree with the mission of guiding people to “Cultivate Resources & Celebrate Life.” Glory manages most of the event planning/coordination and I (Brian) handle the financial coaching side. A few days ago a friend related our business to Cowfish Grill. He wasn’t sure these two things went together but evidently, they do. We believe the same! We want people to be successful and reach their goals financially. Money is not all you need to celebrate, but managing resources and relationships well, does authentically inspire moments of joy in the big events and those days in between!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the previous section mentioned some of our issues. However, we have learned that we need to face how we were raised and to sift through that which is true and that which is not. Also, we have learned to empathize with the other and where we can build one another up because one is weaker in that area. It took us many years to grow in that empathy and we still have much growing to do. I (Brian) am much more calculated and precautious, while Glory is much more of a heart-driven and go-getter type. We work well together, but we do have to work together. The integration of our skills/talents and personalities is a blessing when we choose to humbly work together. Starting this business has helped us integrate with one another and is something we hope to share and inspire with other couples!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We coach clients to secure a firm foundation in managing their resources. Along with that, we creatively guide others to not just reach goals but to celebrate those achievements and life itself in a genuine way.
We are proud to have served others in over 2 dozen individual events (weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties) and paying off over $60,000 of debt. I (Brian) am proud to have coached (academically and financially) over 125 at-risk high school students in the past six years, in which all senior year participants graduated and have entered the workforce, career training, or higher education.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We would love the opportunity to guide you in cultivating resources and/or celebrating life no matter where you are geographically, emotionally, fiscally, or any other “ally.”
