Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Chasing another dream on my early 40’s is a huge step that I thought I would never had to experience again after having four children and now with three stepdaughters. After setting this creative outlet far aside to pursue something else that provided convenient resources for my kids.

Somehow the universe led me to this point in my life where I have that chance to pursue something that I LOVE.

Sweet Child and Co. is that Chance.

A deeply rooted reminder that it’s never too late to pursue something you Love doing in Life. Small or Big.

My love for learning and creating something special from the ordinary led me to turn a hobby into a business venture. I’ve always loved Art and home decor since I was a kid. And since scented candles have become a staple in every home, I decided to learn how to craft it. After creating my very first few candles, I realized that there is more to it than just being a candle. I just don’t want it to be another candle on the store shelves. Apart from producing a clean and best-quality Soy Candles, I also wanted the whole warm and personal candle gifting experience being passed to someone else. Hence, I created Sweet Child and Co. – A HandPoured + Handmade Candle Gift Service.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t always a walk in the park for Sweet Child and Co. During the first few months of testing phase, it got to the point where I was ready to throw the towel and give up. And not to mention the shortage of supplies from Candle Making Distributors because of the pandemic. And also because of that, there was always that need for change, whether it was the wax I was using or the glass containers. Either way, it was both a challenge.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Sweet Child and Co. is a handpoured and Small Batched Scented Candle Company, who caters to anyone who prefers 100% Soy-Based Candles. As part of our standing commitment to a mindful living, Sweet Child and Co. strive hard in only using 100% Soy Wax and with only Locally sourced Phthalate-Free and Toxic-Free Fragrance Oils. Because we believe that candles are not only to be enjoyed with a great scent but with also a much cleaner and slower lasting burn.

I am very pleased with how our clients receive and recognize our very detailed and personal presentation. I love how our clients are so satisfied with the whole experience to the point where they trust us with confidence in their gift giving needs. That means a lot to me.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
When you are over 40 and have grown kids and the path to just being able to retire and enjoy after spending all your adult life working to provide is just right there in the corner, sometimes, you ask yourself… Am I too late /too old to start building a Brand? But I guess when that passion is within you, nothing stands in the way. I always remind my kids to take chances in life and here I am, in my early 40’s, building that brand from scratch. IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. If it sparks joy in your heart… GRAB it and take it and GO for it.
