Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodie Brim.
Jodie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was blessed with an opportunity to shadow my wedding photographer and gained experience with photographing weddings which allowed me to eventually launch my own wedding photography business part-time in 2012. I transitioned as a full-time photographer in 2013. In 2017, I introduced a new photography service working with business owners. Now I operate a full-service creative studio in downtown Winston-Salem where we work primarily with female entrepreneurs. We provide photography, videography, wardrobe styling, set design, and hair/makeup services.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! In 2015, our family fell on hard times when my husband became ill. We just had a baby and just purchased our first home. It was a struggle to manage being a caregiver, new mom, wife, and business owner. Holding on strongly to my faith is what allowed me to keep my hope even with the daily challenges that we faced.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are known for our brand experience. I created an elevated brand experience for female entrepreneurs to help them attract their dream clients and ultimately increase their revenue. Our experience is one of a kind and we have created our own lane in the branding industry by transforming our natural light studio which is a blank canvas into custom branded photo sets to tell the story of a brand instead of just creating headshots for each of our clients. We help our ladies unleash their inner boss and help them to show up confidently in this world and online by allowing them to just show up and shine! We provide clothing, jewelry, custom props that tell a story of their brand and they have their very own glam squad! Everything we create is done with strategy and is very intentional. Our primary goal is to connect and empower women to grow their brands by creating photos and videos that showcase their talents and help attract their dream clients.
What does success mean to you?
Success is when you’ve reached a point in your life’s journey where you have achieved your goals, made a positive impact on the lives of others, and have elevated your personal development where you truly are alive, at peace, and fulfilled by the intangible.
