Today we’d like to introduce you to Camila Hargett
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Title: Camila is Redefining the Future of Business Consulting
When I started Sezhel Consulting, I knew I wanted to empower businesses, Not to not just survive but thrive. It’s humbling to reflect on how we’ve accomplished that in our first year—working with over 60 businesses, helping them navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and create more sustainable paths forward.
Our first year was filled with milestones. We grew quickly, moved into an office space early on, and found ourselves partnering with clients whose resilience inspired me daily. But it wasn’t without its challenges—balancing rapid growth while remaining deeply committed to excellence has been a constant focus.
Now, as we step into our second year, I’m more motivated than ever to expand our impact. This year is about scaling our services, investing in our infrastructure, and continuing to build meaningful relationships with clients. One of our most exciting goal, is the acquisition of a dedicated building, which will serve as our headquarters.
Reflecting on how far we’ve come, I’m proud but not content to stay where we are. Our second year represents an opportunity to deepen our mission and help even more businesses achieve their potential.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth, but it’s through the challenges that I’ve found my greatest growth. Starting Sezhel Consulting came with its share of struggles, from the steep learning curve of managing rapid growth to balancing the responsibility of being a good steward of my clients’ trust.
Another challenge has been the emotional weight of working with businesses, particularly those in minority communities, where trust and resources are often scarce. Many of my clients are placing their dreams in my hands, and the responsibility to deliver not just advice, but tangible results, is one I take very seriously. This responsibility fuels my relentless drive but also brings moments of self-doubt that I’ve had to learn to manage.
Early on, I also faced the practical obstacles of launching and scaling a business—from securing the right tools to expanding my capacity to meet growing demand. Each hurdle taught me valuable lessons about resilience, resourcefulness, and faith.
What has kept me grounded through these struggles is the knowledge that my work is about creating genuine impact. Whether I’m working with a solo entrepreneur or an established company, I focus on measurable results and solutions that make a real difference. These challenges have not only shaped my approach to consulting but also strengthened my commitment to redefining the way we serve businesses—with authenticity, stewardship, and a clear focus on outcomes that change lives.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Sezhel Consulting, we specialize in helping businesses unlock their full potential through data-driven strategies, financial insights, and operational efficiency. Our focus is on delivering tangible results for businesses of all sizes, with a commitment to fostering growth, sustainability, and community impact.
I work closely with my clients to develop tailored solutions that align with their unique goals, whether it’s scaling a startup, optimizing an established business, or addressing compliance and strategic challenges. What truly drives me is knowing that every effort I put in contributes to someone else’s success.
What sets Sezhel Consulting apart is the genuine care and responsibility we bring to every partnership. I take my clients’ trust as an incredible privilege, ensuring that every recommendation, every strategy, and every result reflects the dedication and faith they’ve placed in us. My work is deeply personal—it’s not just about numbers or analysis; it’s about seeing lives transformed as businesses thrive and dreams turn into realities.
I’m most proud of the tangible impact we’ve had, particularly in helping minority-owned businesses. These businesses often face systemic challenges, and being able to provide them with the tools and confidence to succeed is incredibly rewarding. Since starting, we’ve helped over 60 businesses grow and become sustainable, but the ripple effects of that work—jobs created, families supported, and communities strengthened—are what mean the most to me.
Ultimately, my faith-driven approach and commitment to good stewardship set me apart. I’m not here to offer generic advice; I’m here to create lasting value, foster trust, and help businesses achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe risk-taking is an inevitable part of growth and success, both personally and professionally. To me, taking risks isn’t about being reckless; it’s about having the courage to step into the unknown with preparation, faith, and a commitment to follow through, no matter the outcome.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was starting Sezhel Consulting just months after deciding to shift gears in my career. The timing wasn’t perfect—most would argue it rarely is—but I had this deep conviction that the skills and vision I carried could create genuine impact. Starting my business meant facing uncertainty, investing time and resources with no guarantees, and shouldering the weight of being entrusted with the dreams of my clients. It was a leap of faith, but I knew the risk of not trying outweighed the potential fear of failure.
Another significant risk I’ve embraced is the way I serve my clients. I prioritize tangible, measurable results over surface-level solutions, and that approach demands extra effort, transparency, and constant self-accountability. Each recommendation I give could change the course of someone’s business, and that responsibility isn’t taken lightly. However, trusting myself and trusting in the power of doing things with integrity is a risk I’d take time and time again.
Risk, for me, is also deeply intertwined with faith. My faith reminds me that it’s okay not to have all the answers, and it allows me to step forward knowing that challenges are opportunities for growth. Ultimately, risk is about more than just courage—it’s about being resilient, resourceful, and purpose-driven. Whether it’s launching a new initiative, entering a new industry, or helping my clients tackle their own risks, I’ve found that with proper preparation and a clear sense of purpose, the rewards far outweigh the risks.
