Conversations with Danielle Liagre

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Liagre.

Hi Danielle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I had a rough childhood. I grew up in Philly. Both of my parents were drug addicts. I moved around and changed schools a lot. It was really hard for me growing up. I never felt like I belonged somewhere until I met my husband in 2016. After that, for the first time in my life I finally felt like I had a purpose and that someone truly loved me. Now I have two beautiful children and I’m so happy that I have the opportunity to give them everything I always wanted. I’m a stay at home mom and I make every day about them! I do my business work at night when they are asleep. My kids come first.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Believing in myself has always been a struggle. I never felt like I belonged. I was never popular, I always felt like an oddball.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a full-time mom to a two years old boy and a three years old girl. My husband and I own a local locksmith company. We provide our services to all of wake county. I am mostly known for my small business Vichi Knots. I make macrame and rattan jewelry and accessories.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I legit started from the bottom. I was destined for nothing. If it wasn’t for me pushing myself to be something and make something of myself, I would’ve ended up just like my parents sucked into the drug epidemic. I was a broken person for years. I can give my children everything I always wanted.
