Conversations with John & Natasha Ford

Today we’d like to introduce you to John & Natasha Ford.

Hi John & Natasha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
John and I (Natasha Ford) starting Fluent N’ Food, our first company, back in 2017. It all started because we had a strong passion for food and hospitality. My husband, Chef John, had experience in the restaurant industry for over a decade plus. I brought my skills from working in the Marketing field and in the restaurants. Together we created a masterpiece. We worked non-stop for four years and learned many lessons – thus helping us to create and perfect our craft!

Little did we know that our love for events would spawn into another business – our wedding venue – Chandelier Event Venue.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This road was not easy at all.

In fact, many times, I wanted to quit. I often felt taken advantage of, lied to, and unappreciated.

However, I prayed a lot, and I did love what I did, not to mention, my husband and I got to work together so going through the tough times together made the really tough times easier.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are in the Wedding & Events Industry! We are constantly on the go, and we love the food element to all events!

We are most proud of our consistency and continuous growth! When we first started, we barely had anything but the basics – but as time progressed, we created a beautiful business that has grown and thrived to now a wedding venue in the heart of Cary, NC!

What sets us apart from other companies is our passion and our drive – and the fact we only cater to two events per day. This allows us to focus on intricate details and logistics. Many companies stretch themselves too thin, we really try hard not to do that so we can give our full focus to our clients!

What matters most to you?
Happiness and peace are what matters to us most. We want our clients to smile and say, “Thank you for the best day of my life.” And, we want logistics and order so there is peace in planning and peace in the actual execution of the day!
