Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Cogliati.
Melissa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Grew up on Long Island NY, moved here with my husband (known each other all our lives) in 1989. After working for Leith Cars for about 12 years, I wanted something more for my family. I was a Loan Officer at the time we started this business in 2004. I was able to buy this beautiful property and create what is now known as The Hudson Manor Estate. More details during interview 🙂
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Came to NC with $1,000 in our pockets, many times struggling to pay for essentials. Worked hard for 15 years for others. Long hours, time away from family. Built our wealth one day at a time.

We built this company one wedding at a time, learning as we went. Internet was very new when we started. I had a flip phone for the first 5 years, lol! Taught myself how to build a website and how to market my business. I was the first one to introduce the “All Inclusive” wedding to NC and we’re still the most inclusive and affordable luxury wedding venue in NC
