Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Evans
Hi BRIAN, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off taking care of my family and neighbors yards, gaining an appreciation for Horticulture. In college I focused on botanical studies of growing micro greens while obtaining a bachelor’s in biology from Winston Salem state university. After graduating I decided to take the knowledge I’ve obtained and apply it to a sustainable micro-greens business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my struggles starting flingz of Greenz early on was consistency with marketing and networking. social media platforms are very useful, staying on top of marketing allows for people to always see and connect with you easily. Starting out I would not stay on track with social media engagement which helps build business exposure.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an urban farmer, I specialize in an abundance of agricultural crops from micro greens, tomatoes all the way to hemp. I’m known for my knowledge and understanding of plants from a botanical and horticulture standpoint. I take pride in spreading knowledge about farming and influencing the youth about it as well. Currently I grow mostly micro greens and educate the community on the health benefits associated with the nutrient dense crop.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
The main goal of Flingz of Greenz is to not convert people into hardcore vegetarians, instead we encourage consumption of micro greens and inform people of taste ways to make their everyday meals healthier.
