Daily Inspiration: Meet Crystal Salazar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Salazar.

Hi Crystal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Brooklyn, NY and have been a resident in Raleigh, NC, as of around ten years ago. The basis of my content is motherhood and my everyday lifestyle. As a creative being, I enjoy filming fun videos and editing pictures and content. When COVID-19 forced everyone to bunker down, I was able to take some time to reflect and focus on what I enjoy the most— capturing precious memories of my family. From there, I decided to take my social media more seriously. Now I create fun content with my kids and give a glimpse of our everyday adventures. Every picture tells a story and I hope to inspire others to find and capture theirs.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I can confidently say the road to who I am now has not been smooth, by a long shot. Often times I feel that people judge me because I’m always taking pictures. Because of the lack of content creators in the area, people react negatively and usually give me strange looks when im trying to take pictures or record. I am working on finding the confidence to not worry about how others feel about me and just do what making me happy!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work full time for a private company and my day consists of scheduling appointments and assisting people with video visits. I am most proud of my work ethic and go-getter attitude. I’ve been told I am very dependable and oftentimes, people turn to me when they need help. It is difficult to find hard-working people so I take pride in being a hard worker. I aspire to become a full-time blogger and have my hobby become my career. After all, people say if you work doing what you love, you never work a day in your life.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
The true purpose of life is finding the things that bring you joy and happiness. True success comes from doing what you love and enjoying every moment. Life is too short to let the opinions of others stop you from reaching your dreams.
