Hi Ellyson, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began Botanicoils in October of 2020. I had discovered essential oils a few years prior, and I fell in love! I love to create blends for the diffuser and rollers for friends and family. I built up quite the inventory of various oils, and I realized that I could share this passion with others through an Etsy shop! It’s been a very fun process, and I’ve enjoyed being inspired by the local small business community around me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, I’ve been very pleased and thankful with how smoothly this process has gone. If I have to pick one thing that is a struggle for me, it’s marketing. I really have to make a conscious effort to provide online content!

Botanicoils is a line of essential oil rollers used to encourage natural wellness for a variety of purposes. Botanicoils offers individual rollers, blends, beginner sets, chakra rollers, book-themed rollers (including Harry Potter!), custom orders, and more! All Botanicoils rollers are made with safety at the forefront; a lot of beginners to essential oils use undiluted or improperly diluted oils without considering the risks. I am always open to answering questions and helping anyone navigate the exciting world of essential oils! I also love collaborating on custom blends with customers.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is traveling to Alaska! I was in second grade, but I can still remember the beautiful local artwork, jewelry, and culture. We took a seaplane ride over some glaciers, went whale-watching, and explored as much as we could!
