Daily Inspiration: Meet Peggi Wen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peggi Wen.

Hi Peggi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Peggi, mom of two daughters and the founder behind Rose May Jewelry.

I first discovered my love for making jewelry back in high school. It started as a creative outlet, something that brought me joy and helped me express myself. But like many things, life got busy (especially after becoming a mom) and I put that part of me on pause.

When the world slowed down during Covid, I found myself with time and space to reconnect with that hobby. What started as a personal project quickly blossomed into something much bigger. That’s when Rose May Jewelry was born.

Since then, this little business has introduced me to the most incredible people and has grown into a community I’m so grateful to be part of. Every piece I design is a small part of my story, and I’m honored when it becomes part of yours!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running a small business has been a mix of highs and lows.

Some days I feel so proud of what I’ve created, and other days I question if I’m doing enough. Balancing motherhood and work has been overwhelming at times, and on top of that, I’ve been quietly dealing with the pain of endometriosis. There were stretches where the physical toll made it nearly impossible to do pop-ups or even keep up with day-to-day tasks.

Still, through all of it, my customers have shown me nothing but patience and kindness. Your support, whether it’s a message, a purchase, or just showing up, has helped me keep going. I’m truly grateful for this community.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Before launching RMJ, I struggled to find jewelry that was both affordable and durable. So many cute pieces would turn green after a few wears, and I knew I wasn’t the only one frustrated by that.

I specialize in stainless steel jewelry that are high quality, tarnish-resistant, and made to last. I’m lucky to work closely with a personal friend who owns a factory. Together we bring my designs to life. It’s important to me that everyone can have access to jewelry that’s beautiful, meaningful, and made to be worn every day.
