Today we’d like to introduce you to Simmone Williams

Hi Simmone, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Simmone Williams and I am a 28 year old cosmetologist who specializes in nails!
I am originally from Newark, Nj but my passion for the beauty industry started in my grandmothers hair salon in Elizabeth, Nj.
Growing up in the salon I knew that I wanted to be a stylist of some sort and one day own my own salon! Years down the road I graduated from high school with my cosmetology license and have been opining in the beauty industry for 10 years now! Since then I have dibbled and dabbled into hair, massage therapy, esthetics and finally nails! I found my passion in nails due to the fact that I absolutely love art of all sorts! I current rent my own private suite where I service my clients and create beautiful painting’s, drawing’s and custom clothes in the future! Doing nails has opened up a creative, carefree avenue that also allows me to make a living! God has truly blessed my life and my hands and I look forward to where ever he takes me in life and in this field of work!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been easy to say the least! I am the single mother of a beautiful 5 year old girl named Winter! Even though, mother hood has not been a breeze it has pushed me to go even harder in life and in my work!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in creating custom nail art! I have been known for my clean nail art that is custom for each client! I am most proud of the fact that doing nail art has opened my eyes to the fact that I can now paint and draw as well! What sets me apart from others is the fact that I am always investing my my craft and trying new things! With that said be on the look out for custom Clothes and Sneakers by Cosmmonae!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be the time spent in my grandmothers hair salon watching her and my beloved aunt Shamika Wormley (who passed in 2022) service clients! My aunt and grandmother are bold creative kind and extremely talented and I know those same characteristics run blood deep!
