Exploring Life & Business with Brianna Hollingsworth of Mental Healing Collective LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Hollingsworth.

Hi Brianna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Absolutely. My name is Brianna Hollingsworth, and I’m the proud founder of Mental Healing Collective LLC. I launched this movement on January 1, 2023, driven by a deep passion for mental health awareness and a mission to break the stigmas that often silence us.

As a young Black woman with a voice and a vision, I recognized the power of using creativity and influence to spark real change. Mental Healing Collective began as more than just a brand—it’s a purpose-filled movement rooted in self-expression, healing, and community empowerment.

What started as a bold idea turned into a platform where people could wear their mental health journey with pride. Every design and piece of merch we release is meant to open up conversations, inspire hope, and remind people that it’s okay to not be okay. Your struggles don’t define you—but your strength does.

Today, we continue to grow a supportive community that uplifts, educates, and advocates for mental wellness—especially within marginalized spaces. This is just the beginning. Together, we’re making mental health visible, powerful, and unapologetically part of the conversation.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all—it’s been a beautiful journey, but definitely not a smooth one. Like many entrepreneurs, especially those building something from the ground up, I’ve faced my share of challenges.

One of the biggest struggles has been doing everything on my own. Right now, I’m a one-woman team—handling the designs, managing social media, creating content, fulfilling orders, and building the brand’s presence all at the same time. It’s rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming. There are so many ideas I want to bring to life, but sometimes it’s tough getting everything out as quickly as I’d like when you’re the only one behind the scenes.

Staying consistent while managing real life, emotions, and business all at once has been a learning curve. But I’ve come to understand that growth takes time, and grace is just as important as hustle. Every obstacle has pushed me to grow stronger, stay grounded in my “why,” and keep moving forward—even if it’s one small step at a time.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Mental Healing Collective LLC is a lifestyle and mental wellness brand rooted in authenticity, healing, and community. We specialize in apparel and digital content that promotes mental health awareness, self-expression, and emotional empowerment—especially for Black millennials and people who often feel unseen in traditional mental health spaces.

What we’re known for isn’t just stylish designs—it’s the message behind them. Every piece of merch is crafted with intention and represents a deeper purpose: to spark conversations, normalize mental health struggles, and remind people that healing is not only possible—it’s powerful. We create designs that people can wear with pride, knowing they’re not alone in what they’re going through.

What sets us apart is our raw honesty and cultural connection. We don’t water down the message. We speak to the real, everyday experiences of people navigating anxiety, grief, depression, burnout, and the pressure to “keep it together.” We’re not just selling products—we’re building a movement and a community of people who know that it’s okay to not be okay.

One of the things I’m most proud of brand-wise is how personal this journey is. Mental Healing Collective isn’t some mass-produced idea—it’s my heart and story stitched into every piece. Seeing people wear our merch or comment that a post spoke to them reminds me that this work matters.

We currently offer mental health-themed apparel, downloadable affirmation and self-love eBooks, healing-centered digital content, and empowering daily affirmations on social media. Whether it’s through a T-shirt, a healing workbook, or a video that hits home, my goal is to make mental health visible, relatable, and accessible.

If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this: Mental Healing Collective is more than a brand—it’s a safe space. We’re here to uplift, inspire, and remind you that your journey matters. Healing looks different for everyone, but no matter where you are on the path, you belong here.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is our annual beach trips with my family. Every summer, we’d pack up and head to the coast—it didn’t matter which beach, as long as we were all together. Those trips were filled with laughter, sandcastles, seafood, and late-night card games.

It was the one time of year when life slowed down, and we could just be present with each other. Those moments taught me the value of connection, joy, and making space for rest—which is something I still carry with me in both life and business today.
