Today we’d like to introduce you to Esther Beyderman
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My whole professional career I have been part of hospitals systems working as a social worker, nurse, director of Emergency Department and other operational duties. I am married to a ICU physician, healthcare is our life. Working in the hospital is rewarding, exciting, sad, happy, challenging; all in one. In 2020 I received a painful diagnosis of Breast Cancer which made me question my legacy and what will I leave behind if my cancer treatment does not work. I decided that education is something that can make a big difference and make a world just a little bit ‘brighter’.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I created a phlebotomy training program. The road was not smooth at all, I have been a student for many years of my life; undergraduate degree, masters in social.work, masters in hospital business administration, nursing degree, but running a school is something that I had to learn from scratch. Opening a school is not like putting up a street sign saying we are not accepting students, it requires multiple steps to get government approval, accreditation, hospital affiliations. It took me almost two years to get the school off the ground.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about PhlebHub Phlebotomy Training Program?
Phlebotomists are a heartbeat of a hospital, it not well known that 30% of phlebotomists jobs are left unfilled due to scarcity of phlebotomists on the job market. We revolutionized the training program and how we deliver education, I would love to grow to other healthcare related professions.

-Our training does not take years, it allows students to learn a skill and be prepared for employment within weeks.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Raleigh’s vibrant cultural scene and friendly community are some of its best features, making it a welcoming and dynamic place to live. However, the increasing traffic congestion as the city grows can be frustrating at times. Overall, Raleigh balances its charm and challenges, offering a great quality of life despite its few drawbacks.
