Hidden Gems: Meet Brittany Brathwaite of Brittany B. Real Estate with Fathom Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Brathwaite.

Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m passionate about helping others and want to share that enthusiasm through real estate. I’m a Chicago native, a military spouse, and a mother of two, that chose to make North Carolina home.

After a bad accident while working as a Certified Surgical Tech II. I’m blessed to be able to live my life with little to no assistance.

People with spinal cord injuries don’t usually turn out so well. I have compassion for those individuals as well as others who face life-changing challenges with disabilities. My compassion stems from being a military spouse and family member, healthcare experience, and it fuels my motivation to help others through real estate.

I’m excited to assist in residential real estate and plan to expand my service beyond North Carolina.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is never a smooth road.

However, it is one that allows you to learn grace through struggle. You lose loved ones along the way and that has taken a personal toll on my emotions.

The silver lining is that, through grief, I feel I’ve been realigned with a greater purpose. You can’t walk forward with your head down, you’ll never see pitfalls or challenges ahead of you. Instead, keep your head up, there’s more beauty to behold in the journey.

As you know, we’re big fans of Brittany B. Real Estate with Fathom Realty. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Fathom Realty is founded by a veteran. So, I trusted this firm understood my connection to service. They continue to soar as a smaller firm to produce quality real estate transactions year after year. “These rankings validate our business model and demonstrate Fathom’s ability to grow throughout various real estate cycles.

We have done great things since our founding more than ten years ago. Still, I believe that our opportunities and ability to serve agents are greater now than ever,” said Joshua Harley, Fathom’s Chief Executive Officer. Even as a newer agent, I’ve found a love for residential buying, selling, and investment services. I also offer financial and credit services.

As it pertains to my brand, I’m most proud of my diverse background and areas of expertise. I pride myself on being able to connect with people from various backgrounds which, also sets me apart from my peers and industry professionals. My family is diverse, as was my upbringing.

Being married to a first-generation Latino-American, experiencing firsthand the pride in his country’s servitude and relocating due to military service, has allowed me to see you can be proud of who you are and where you come from and make a positive impact in your community.

Adding value to my community is what is important and what I genuinely strive to accomplish.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Credit and honor go to God for blessing me with a strong support system comprised of family, friends that love and care for me like family, and mentors that have pushed me out of my comfort zone.

My grandparents, parents, in-laws, God-parents, and best friends have never let up on me. They’ve continuously demonstrated God’s grace and faithfulness in them and have challenged me to do my best. In the lowest, most disappointing times in life, they allowed me to feel but coached me to understand.

For all of the positive reinforcement, I owe it to them to accept nothing less than success and achievement.
