Hidden Gems: Meet Victoria Haffer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Haffer.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Over the past 30 years, I have overcome many obstacles and challenges like most people. Also common to many people, I grew up in a dysfunctional family, creating much trauma in my life. As a teenager and into my twenties, I battled with binge eating and compulsive over-exercising as well as battled chronic anxiety and depression. I had a distorted body image and used food and other things to numb the emptiness inside and to fill a void where self-love was not.

For much of my young and adult life, I hid behind a big beautiful smile, shining my light quite brightly on the outside, yet on the inside I was deeply suffering and extremely unhappy. Sometimes the pain was so unbearable that at night I would pray that I just wouldn’t wake up in the morning.

This life experience led me to a continuous state of fight or flight, never allowing my body to come down from being in a state of chronic stress. Little did I know that walking this path would lead me to an amazing place of healing and self-discovery through various holistic modalities, including; yoga, meditation, hypnotherapy, NLP, Reiki, Access Consciousness, and more. Here is where my pursuit for happiness, self-love and inner peace began nearly 20 years ago now. I truly believe that all the pain and suffering I endured over the years was to learn true compassion for myself and others as well as to be a beacon of light to inspire others to heal themselves.

Fast forward to today, I’ve made peace with all parts of me, the good, the bad, and the ugly, dedicating my life to empowering women and teens who have a history of addiction, chronic stress, or anxiety. What makes me unique in this space is incorporating animals into my healing sessions. Almost all dogs and horses (animals in general) have an amazing ability to reflect back patterns we are not aware of, as well as being space for us during challenging times.

I call myself a Possibilities Coach and Intuitive Healer for people and animals. Along with that, I’m also an Access Consciousness Practitioner, Trauma Support Specialist and Yoga/Meditation Therapist holding a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. My life’s work has been dedicated to empowering individuals to heal themselves as well as training and coaching with animals. I encourage everyone to find a path toward radical acceptance and experience true bliss from the inside out and live their best life with joy and ease.

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the challenges along the way?
Overcoming childhood trauma, chronic anxiety, depression, an eating disorder as well as an autoimmune disorder and divorce.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

That people know they don’t have to suffer emotionally from chronic stress, anxiety, and depression. They are not alone. That trauma literally changes the brain and the way we see, process and engage with the world and its not your fault. The great news is that you can heal your trauma response and heal your past and step into a present joyful moment. All you have to do is choose it!
