Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysa Kelly.
Hi Alysa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started creating beautiful things at a young age. Ever since I was a young girl, I have had a passion for creativity. I started out doing things on the side only for family and close friends. I would create flyers, Brochures, Banners and much more. My family has always been my support system and encouraged me to go further. The more and more I would create things for those close to me and continue to hear my cheer quad (family) cheering me on, I begin to question how successful I could be.
Over time I continued to only produce products for my family as I worked to perfect my craft. After years and years of staying in a bubble, I decided it was now time to branch out and to share my gift with the world. I begin to produce products for more than my family. After getting more and more requests, I took the next steps and created my own business AK Creations. I was nervous about this journey, but I have no regrets. I have had the opportunity to create so much for so many people. I have been able to make weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, trips and much more special for my customers. I have a passion for creativity, and I am eager to bring my customer’s visions to life. I just want to make beautiful things.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road? I wouldn’t say it has been smooth. There has been a lot of ups, downs, trial, and errors. Starting a new business can be stressful. One of the biggest concerns with my start-up I often faced was self-doubt. Often, I would look at other successful custom apparel businesses and begin to have doubts. Then I asked myself “Do I really have competition? What are they offering? It was at this point I decided to stop worrying about the competition and realized the quality of my work would speak for itself. I begin to focus on my advantages like personal connections, Inventory, and delivery. I begin to build a strong personal relationship with my existing clients. I would keep a well-stocked inventory on hand to ensure I could deliver the customer’s order promptly and I provided delivery which is often one of the most overlooked aspects of the customer experience. I am constantly working to improve my skills so I can continue to create high-quality products that WOW my customers and keep them happy.
As you know, we’re big fans of AK Creations LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the founder of AK Creations. I am a motivator and I work for State Government. AK Creations offers a lot of custom apparel options and more. What does success mean to you?
I define success as being happy. If I am happy, I am successful. When I’m happy, it brings out my best. Your business is a direct reflection of who you are. The more you develop yourself, the more successful your business will be.
