Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Cooley.
Hi Dana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Realtor/Property Manager, born and raised in NC. A couple of years ago I decided to make the change from insurance. This was the best decision I have ever made, although I am very grateful for my time in insurance because it taught me a lot and provided me with extra knowledge for my clients.
Growing up, watching my mother as an entrepreneur I always knew I wanted to own a business. I did not want to own just any business I really wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and I am blessed with this amazing opportunity to do so through my client’s Real Estate needs.
After being in Real Estate for several years and working under other Realtors, I decided it was time to make the jump and open my own firm. I serve a variety of clients; buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. I take extreme pride in my work and I look forward to getting up every day knowing I get to do something I truly love. I can not wait to see what the future holds and I thank God daily because without him none of this would be possible.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road however I am a firm believer that is what makes us stronger, and gives us the confidence we need. The bumps have brought me to where I am today and I could not be more thankful.
Most people have the assumption that being a Realtor is easy and a quick money maker but that is far from the truth. This job is the most challenging yet rewarding thing I have ever done.
I meet people from all walks of life, some are just starting out, some need a fresh start, most need an ear to listen. The list is endless but I am grateful for the clients I have met thus far and I cannot wait to continue blessing others.
As you know, we’re big fans of Cooley & Co. . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a local Realtor and Property Manager, born and raised in Lillington, NC. Representing homeowners, future homeowners, investors, landlords, and tenants in and around Raleigh. Understanding the numerous benefits of life in NC, I am committed to making sure all my clients are pleased. Listening to their needs so I can utilize my skills to ensure we have a successful transaction is my top priority.
Growing up I always loved all things home, whether it was decorating, home projects, or building forts as a child. After school, I excelled in the insurance industry as an agent and really enjoyed my time there. I decided to try something I have always wanted to do and that was Real Estate. I thank God daily for this tremendous opportunity to serve my community.
I come from a long line of community servants so I am extremely proud of my giving back program on every transaction. All my clients and referral partners are able to choose from a list of charities they would like for us to make a donation on their behalf.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Commitment, Communication, Passion, Drive, Self Discipline, Persistence are all very important characteristics to success.
