Life & Work with Antonio Brown and Eric Crooke

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Brown and Eric Crooke. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Lessfriends started as an inkling of an idea by Eric. Eric approached Antonio with the idea and asked for an initial investment. After the investment, they used their connections within the garment industry to birth Crooke and Brown Consultations. Today they’re still curating Lessfriends while providing marketing solutions to small businesses alike.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Both Antonio and Eric had no idea what type of terrain they would be traversing. It’s literally a “game of valleys and peaks.” At the onset of the idea, they did not factor in the difficulties of running a clothing brand. Fulfillment is constantly a hurdle. Another big obstacle is cornering the market, especially post COVID.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Antonio Brown – I’d like to consider myself a jack of all trades. I’m a business major, turned social worker with accredited work in Vogue Italia. During college, I was under the tutelage of Angelo DeSanto, a stylist with Vogue Italia. I spent roughly two years learning/studying the fashion industry. My fashion background is what I’m most proud of and also translates in Lessfriends designs. We are very design orientated. Every design holds a double meaning. We are trying to raise awareness of the importance of teaching marginalized people financial literacy. That is what sets us apart. We want to provide fun hip clothes that also has a purpose.

Eric Crooke – We voice our opinions through t-shirts. We specialize in ideas. We are known for being enterprising. Proud of the triggers we pull, we play it all out from an idea to paper and then the physical. What sets us apart is that we are doers and we incorporate one another’s idea no one has a better idea than the other we believe in the compound effect and add the idea where we see fit.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Lessfriends isn’t a nod to isolation. Just a reminder to stick to your convictions even if your peers don’t see the vision.
